Liad Habot Wins 3rd Place at UCSB Undergraduate Research Slam

Liad Habot, an undergraduate researcher in the Beyerlein Group, earned third place at the UCSB Undergraduate Research Slam. Hosted annually by Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA), the Research Slam challenges undergraduate students to present their research in three minutes using a single slide, with talks tailored to a general audience. Following a competitive qualifying round, ten finalists advanced to the final contest, where the top three presenters received cash prizes.
At the Slam, Liad presented his research in the Beyerlein Group examining the influence of grain morphology on fatigue behavior in the IN-718 nickel-based superalloy. Congratulations, Liad, on this outstanding achievement!
