Ian Wise, a third-year PhD candidate in the Beyerlein group, has been awarded the LFRP 2024 In-Residence National Laboratory Graduate Fellowship. Ian uses advanced modelling techniques to predict how metals behave under extreme temperature and radiation environments. As part of the fellowship, Ian will conduct his research work for three months annually at Los Alamos National Laboratory, in collaboration with renowned scientists.
